First and foremost, a dishwasher needs to get your dishes clean. Really clean. Bosch dishwashers are engineered to perform at the highest levels, to spotlessly remove even the toughest soiling. Think baked-in spinach. At the same time, smart technologies ensure that Bosch power is directed in a way that smartly manages energy and water consumption, and protects delicate items, preserving their brilliant shine wash after wash, year after year.
When you're looking for silence, efficiency, safety and convenience, look no further than an Evolution dishwasher. Their legendary noise suppression technology makes these machines among the quietest you can buy, while superior energy and water efficiency mean they're both environmentally and economically friendly. Their CHILDLOCK latch prevents children from accidentally opening the door and they've placed controls and status displays on the outside panel for instant access.
This dishwasher uses 259 kWh/yr and has an estimated yearly operating cost of $28.72.
The estimated yearly operating cost is based on a 2011 national average electricity cost of $.1109 per kWh. For more information, visit www.ftc.gov/appliances.

Cleanest dishes ever
This replaced my Bosch dishwasher from 15 years ago, and at first I was skeptical. The way it loads is completely different. But now I have learned to use the flexible options strategically. The dishes have never been so clean, though I disagree about not pre-rinsing. I am a child of the Fifties, when we had to wash the dishes before loading them into the dishwasher. This new Bosch is 21st century, and very good. The racks are sturdy, though the bottom one has a tendency to pull all the way out. There's a learning curve.

QUITE
We are very happy with the dishwasher! It holds a ton of dishes and gets them all clean. Only down side make sure you push the draws in from the center or they come off the track.

Great help
This is my first dishwasher in 20 years! I researched performance and energy efficiency, and Bosch was always in the lead. I put the dishes in without rinsing and everything but the rare exception (rice on a fork, for instance) comes clean. There is a quick wash cyle that takes 30 minutes. Otherwise, the regular cylce takes 2 hours. Dishes clean fine on short cycle. The double cup stacker looked attractive, but is only for smaller china cups. Doesn't seem very useful now. Tines adjust on top and lower rack which is helpful. Occasionally water pools in the resevoir and there is an odd smell. Machine needs to be run again to eliminate. Even so, I am happy with the purchase. Very quiet. Can hardly hear it in the next room.

Runs quiet, doesn't dry
Like most of the other reviews indicate, the unit is very quiet, looks good, cleans OK and the adjustable loading rack is nice, but it simply does not dry the dishes.
It's not like you even have a choice in the matter. It simply does not dry the dishes. I would have given this machine 5 stars if it would have given an option to dry the dishes (even if it cost more in energy usage to do so).
If you want to either dry off all your dishes or want to leave the door open with the racks pulled out for a few hours every time you use it, then this could be the machine for you.
On the other hand, if you want to be able to put the dishes away at the end of the cycle, then forget it. You will be very disappointed.
